At age 66, Brother John Noldan passed on to the Great Aerie above, due to cancer, something that he has been fighting for some time.

Brother John left behind a loving wife Kat, four children, and nine grandchildren.

At his passing, he was also the current Worthy President for North Mason #4226.

Along the way, Brother John has filled the positions of Aerie Secretary, for a total of seven years, the Aerie Worthy Vice President, as well as a member of the Aerie Trial Committee for a total of 6 years.

In addition to his dedication at the local Aerie Level, Brother John worked his way up through the chairs of the State Aerie, and was the Worthy State President in 2005 - 2006.

Brother John also took on the tasks of being the Washington State Aerie Membership Chairman not once but three different times in 2007 - 2008, 2009 - 2010, and again in 2011 - 2012. He was also the New Aeries Chairman in 2010 - 2011.

Brother John held the Grand Aerie Offices of Grand Inside Guard in 2013 - 2014, Grand Conductor in 2014 - 2015, and  Grand Chaplain in  2015 - 2016.  Brother John was enjoying his third year as Grand Aerie Trustee, after being elected to that position in 2016 - 2017 and then again in 2017 - 2018 and then again at this last Grand Convention in Dallas for the year 2018 - 2019.

Brother John joined the Fraternal Order of Eagles in May 1989.

Brother John was a true Eagle in every facet of its meaning. He was a strong advocate of leadership. He was instrumental in developing a leadership training program that was later adopted by the Grand Aerie. He strongly believed in the rights of the membership.

In the last few years, John has been an advocate for the Washington State Aerie Museum.  John he has been very active in the fund raising efforts to bring back our museum.

John was someone that you could talk to in confidence and know that he would not just give you an answer but would normally take the time to give you the answer as well as explain to you why the answer was what it was and where it was that his answer came from.
